Walked my flabby okole off

Just a note of interest:  Yesterday I had a minor mishap which I wasn't going to include but with a happy ending thought I'd let you in on it.  But then you're probably looking for shit to happen to me anyway.  See you're all just like me.  A couple of things actually happened.  One was a mind f___ and the other  was something that just happened.
I was walking through a park and heard a cicada (none in Hawaii) so I stopped and looked around for it then realized maybe it's my ears ringing. I went from the joy of discovery to depression in 10 seconds flat.  It couldn't possibly be a gradual physical deterioration in my creeping old age could it ?
I stopped looking anyway and moved on.  Better to not know.  Right...Denial.
Then on the way back to the hotel I hear a flopping sound.  Looked down at my shoes and lo and behold my heel is separated from the shoe.  You know these hiking shoes have the soles glued on to the shoes and from neglect and the Hawaiian humidity it decided to strike back at me at a critical time.  So went out looking for Shoe Goo.  NONE.  I' m in the middle of shopping district full of Dior, Ferragamo, Gucci and names I can't even pronounce.  So had to settle for a Circle K for a Japanese version of super glue (tried it once before but didn't last).  Tested that out today.
Breakfast
Nagoya Castle.  Big disappointment because we blew it...Literally.  In the waning months of WWII Nagoya was flattened including the castle (first castle to be selected national treasure) by the B29 bombing.  Necessary or not I don't know but not too long afterward we had the 'Manhattan Project" with Dr. Strangelove at the helm.  Now it's more a museum inside depicting life as it was 400 years ago.  But the I've been walking on the grounds that Oda Nobunaga and Tokugawa Ieyasu walked with their abundant consorts.  Imagine that !
The genkan (entrance hall) to the castle was the most beautiful.  Everything re-built in the original method with cypress wood left plain unstained.  Visitors were greeted here before going up to the castle.  Somehow they heard about me and wouldn't let me pass beyond this.  Just kidding...I ran past all the uniforms and went inside.

So in the beginning I mentioned there was a happy ending...not so quick.  My damn shoes are not going to let me off that easily.  The other shoe had malevolent thoughts too.  Back to Circle K but at least the first shoe held up.

There' actually more but I'm tired.  It's so hot I came back to the hotel, took a cold shower and sitting here nakid writing this.  Nap time.  Bye
